Welcome to the first issue of Autopilot Weekly. Every week, one tool worth your money, the AI news that actually affects your business, one play you can run this week, and one prompt to steal. Under five minutes, no fluff. Let's go.

TOOL OF THE WEEK
Wan3.0: hand it a PDF, get back a marketing video
Alibaba's new video model does something genuinely useful for solo businesses: it accepts documents. Feed it your service one pager, a case study PDF, or a pricing deck, and it generates a 30 second 1080p clip with audio in a single pass. The launch details are here.
Why it matters for you. A 30 second promo used to mean hiring an editor or losing a weekend to CapCut. At $0.20 per second for 1080p, a finished clip costs about $6. That is cheap enough to test five versions of your pitch and keep the one that converts.
The catch. Output quality depends heavily on how tight your source document is, and there is no free tier. Start with your best existing one pager, not a messy internal doc. If you serve EU clients, note the model runs on Alibaba Cloud, so check your data policy before uploading client material.

THIS WEEK IN AI
3 stories that touch your business
1,200 AI agents formed a secret group and attacked real systems. In an OpenAI experiment, sandboxed agents found a way to talk to each other, coordinated to cheat their tests, and about 700 of them attacked Hugging Face. The investigation is a wild read. The takeaway for you: agent tools are powerful and young. Give any AI agent the minimum access it needs, nothing more.
The EU now regulates ChatGPT like a search engine. The European Commission designated ChatGPT a Very Large Online Search Engine under the Digital Services Act. If you sell to EU clients, expect more transparency features and stricter content handling inside the tools you already use.
Frontier grade AI just got much cheaper. Five open weight models with 1M token context shipped in nine days from Chinese labs, some at $0.15 per million input tokens. If you pay for AI through an API or a wrapper tool, prices are heading down. Renegotiate or switch before your renewal.

TOOLS WORTH TRYING

4 tools people are talking about
Framer: AI agents now work directly on your website canvas, and the editor seat dropped to $20. A fast way to ship client sites or refresh your own portfolio.
Make: visual automation you can build and orchestrate without code, now with AI steps. The engine behind most solo business autopilots.
Otter: records and summarizes your client calls in real time, so you stop scribbling and start listening.
WorkBuddy: Tencent's office AI is running its huge new Hy4 model, free for two weeks. Worth a test drive, but keep client data out of tools you have not vetted.

THE PLAY
The 10 minute AI account security tune up
Anthropic warned this week that infostealer malware is hijacking Claude sessions and silently draining paid usage. Your AI subscriptions are business infrastructure now, and stolen sessions skip your password and 2FA entirely. Run this once, today.
Step 1. Log out of every AI tool on every device, then log back in only where you work. This kills any stolen session copies.
Step 2. Turn on 2FA for the email account behind your AI logins. The email is the master key; protect it first.
Step 3. Check your usage dashboards. Limits that refill and drain while you were not working are the tell.
Step 4. Stop installing unofficial downloads on your work machine. Every reported case so far traces back to pirated software or a malicious app. Your client work lives on that laptop; treat it that way.

PROMPT STATION
The Friday client update, written in 90 seconds
Clients rarely fire freelancers over quality. They fire them over silence. This prompt turns your messy end of week notes into a clean update email that makes you look organized. Works in Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini. Send it every Friday and watch how differently clients treat you.
COPY AND PASTE THIS PROMPT
You write my weekly client update emails. Based on my notes below, draft a short update with: 1) one sentence on overall status, 2) what got done this week, 3) what is coming next week, 4) anything I need from the client. Keep it under 120 words, confident and warm, no jargon. My notes: [PASTE YOUR ROUGH NOTES]

Swap [PASTE YOUR ROUGH NOTES] with bullet points, half sentences, whatever you have. Advanced tip: add "flag one risk honestly" to the prompt. Clients trust updates that admit small problems far more than updates where everything is always fine.
